Products consumed for lunch in the Netherlands 2019, by type
In 2019, just seven percent of households surveyed indicated that members of their household did not have lunch. This was slightly lower than the share of respondents who indicated that members of their household skipped breakfast. Among respondents who did have lunch, sandwiches were most popular. Over 50 percent of respondents had a sandwich for lunch, while just one percent had a sweet snack, muffin or bar.
