From 2015 to 2017, the share of holiday season e-commerce transactions with free shipping ranged from 67 to 77 percent. However, free shipping was much more common during the 2018 holiday season. During the weeks between Thanksgiving and the end of December, approximately 86 to 87 percent of desktop e-commerce transactions included free shipping.
