Out of the total borrowings of over 30.02 trillion Indian rupees by the systemically important non-banking financial companies accepting deposits, over 12 trillion Indian rupees accounted for NBFC infrastructure finance company (IFC) as of financial year 2022.
Overall the NBFC sector in India has been facing challenging times on the liquidity front since fiscal year 2018 and the Reserve Bank of India has put in various intervention measures to address these concerns.
