According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on wearable tech, 39 percent of the female respondents in Singapore claimed that they were not into sports and therefore do not need a smart wearable to track their fitness. By comparison, 55 percent of the male respondents said that they did not see the need for a smartwatch or fitness tracker. In the same survey, more than half of the respondents stated that they owned a smart wearable.
