Over 300 million units of renewable energy was consumed through open access channels by the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh during financial year 2017. Additionally, the state consumed 15 percent of the total open access consumption of renewable energy in the country during that year. Furthermore, 60 percent of the renewable energy consumed by the state in that year was derived from solar energy.
