In 2019, 76.3 percent of the respondents who performed Qurban, the ritual animal sacrifice of a livestock animal during Eid al-Adha, purchased the Qurban animals directly because they wanted to witness the slaughtering process of the animals. Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world, with approximately 225 million Muslims.
