World: leading exporters of furniture 2022
In 2022, China was the leading exporter of furniture to the rest of the world, with an export value of approximately 80.7 billion U.S. dollars. Germany, ranking second, exported about 14.1 billion U.S. dollars worth of furniture that year.
Global furniture import
As of 2022, the United States was the leading importer of furniture, with a value almost three times that of Germany, which followed in second place. The value of imported furniture in the United States amounted to nearly 73 billion U.S. dollars.
China as a leading import partner
In a similar fashion to the global market, the United States’ main trade partner for furniture was China in 2023, with a value of over 20 billion U.S. dollars for imported furniture. China’s furniture market generated around 82 billion U.S. dollars in revenue the same year.
