Share of high-quality local roads in Russia 2023, by federal district

The largest share of high-quality local roads in Russia was observed in the Ural Federal District, where nearly three quarters of such roads were considered to be meeting regulatory requirements in 2023. The lowest share of roads of local significance meeting national requirements was recorded in the Northwestern federal district at approximately 45 percent in that year. As for roads of regional or intermunicipal significance, the leading area by high-quality road share was the North Caucasian Federal District.
