According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on wearable tech in September 2022, about 74 percent of the respondents in Malaysia stated that they were aware of Apple as a wearable tech brand, followed by 57 percent that knew of Samsung. In the same survey, about half of the respondents stated that they owned a smart wearable.
