During a survey conducted in Chile in November 2020, nearly 68 percent of respondents stated that Christmas was very important or important to them, while another 21.3 percent called it "moderately important". For 11.2 percent of respondents it was not very important or not important at all. According to the results of a different survey, approximately 70 percent of Chileans considered themselves Christian, with Catholicism being the largest denomination with 55 percent.
