Brazil: online shopping penetration 2017-2020, by urbanity

Approximately 42 percent of internet users from urban areas in Brazil surveyed between October 2019 and March 2020 stated that they had bought products and/or services online during the 12 months leading up to the survey, up from 36 percent of respondents one year before. The penetration rate of online shopping among internet users in rural areas remained at 19 percent every year from 2017 to 2020. Brazil's e-commerce annual sales revenue was predicted to amount to 29.4 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.
