Dainik Jagran, one of India's most widely read and circulated Hindi daily newspapers, had an average issue readership of over 16 million readers towards the end of 2019. This was a sudden decline compared to 2017 when the readership averaged over 20 million readers across India, which may be attributed to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
