Attendance at domestic movies in Costa Rica 2014-2022
In 2022, sales of tickets to domestic films in Costa Rica grew two times compared to the previous year, to approximately 100 thousand. Still, the 2022 figure amounted to little more than 84 percent of the 120 thousand tickets to Costa Rican movies sold in 2019, before the pandemic. Costa Rica had the highest box office revenue in Central America in 2022.
