A total of 395 artificial intelligence companies were registered in Beijing as of 2018, the highest number among all Chinese cities. To increase the domestic supply of technology, China implemented a national program, "Made in China 2025", to develop AI technology, such as self-driving cars, smart cities, and voice intelligence.
