Bronchitis mortality rate in England and Wales 2000-2019, by gender
In 2019, approximately 57 men and 42 women per 100,000 population died as a result of bronchitis* in England and Wales. Although the mortality rate among men has been generally decreasing since the year 2000, it still remains significantly higher than the rate for women.
