As of November 2020, 1.7 percent of COVID-19 tests performed among footballers who participated in the Brazilian men's soccer championship that year were positive. The series A, popularly known as Brasileirão, recorded an average of 1.3 percent. Meanwhile, series C and D of the event had the highest coronavirus incidence, with more than two percent of PCR-tests returning positive.
