The shelf space allotted to organic hardtacks and vegetal drinks in Italian supermarkets and hypermarkets was generally larger than those allotted to organic eggs. More specifically, the supermarket brand Esselunga assigned about 2.8 meters on their shelves to organic hardtacks. Moreover, the same product in Coop supermarkets occupied 2.2 meters. Vegetal drinks were given about 2.3 meters in Carrefour stores, the supermarket allotting the wider space to these organic beverages.
