Between 2018 and 2019, the sales value of organic wine generally experienced an increase. In particular, the selling of D.C.O. and D.C.G.O wine grew from 5.6 million euros to 7.3 million euros. The certification D.C.O. stands for Denomination of Controlled Origin, whereas D.C.G.O. means Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin. On the other hand, organic fortified wine showed the largest growth in the chart between the two periods of consideration. More specifically, the sales value of fortified wine went from 43 thousand euros to 490 thousand euros. Eventually, the selling of standard wine in glass recipients up to 75 centiliters amounted to 266 thousand euros, the lowest value among the different organic wines.
