Food and agricultural products occupied a share of approximately 22 percent of Russian imports from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in monetary terms in 2021. The main import commodity from countries outside the CIS were machinery and goods of the automotive industry with a share of nearly 53 percent.
