Latin America & Caribbean: COVID-19 impact on air passenger traffic 2020-2021
In the first half of 2021, the civil aviation industry in Latin America and the Caribbean is expected to continue to experience the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the first three months of that year, it was estimated that airlines operating in the region could lose up to 43.6 million passengers. At the beginning of the pandemic, around 76.7 million passengers did not travel in Latin America and the Caribbean.
