The share of export trade of energy products from Russia to the countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) accounted for nearly three quarters of the country's total exports in 2013. The figures fluctuated since then, reaching under 54 percent in 2020, which was the lowest value for the observed period. The exports of energy products to members of the CIS had a highest share at 55.3 percent in 2011 but significantly decreased to 24.8 percent in 2020.
