This statistic presents the average price of holiday homes and apartments in the most popular holiday regions of Germany in 2018. The prices are for a single overnight stay for a minimum of 4 people. The highest prices could be found on the North Frisian Islands, where the average cost per night for a holiday home or apartment in the period under review amounted to around 156 euros.

Note on the methodology:
To calculate the holiday home index of the federal states, big cities, German holiday regions and European capital cities, prices that were shown to users for a week’s holiday in July, August and September were analysed. The prices are based on search requests made between April 1 and June 30 of 2018 for holiday accommodation for a minimum of 4 people. In addition, the average prices of available properties for the months of October, November and December were analysed. The data was collected between September 10-11, 2018.
