Share of opioid users in India 2017-2018 by state
According to a survey on substance use in India between December 2017 and October 2018, the state of Mizoram had almost seven percent of people in the age group of 10 to 75 years old, who were users of opioids. Nagaland followed closely at 6.5 percent of opioid users, indicating that the north-eastern states in India were prone to an opioid problem.
