The volume of nitrous oxide (N₂O) emissions in Russia generally increased over the observed period, starting from 70.9 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) equivalent emitted in 2005 and reaching 88.4 million tons of CO₂ equivalent in 2021. The N₂O emissions increased by two million tons of CO₂ equivalent from the previous year.
