According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2019, around 47 percent of female respondents were using air purifiers at home, slightly higher than the usage rate of male respondents. The results of the survey also showed that the share of people using air purifiers in South Korea increased to 44 percent in 2019 from 15 percent in 2006.
