Share of children practicing sports in Denmark 2016, by activity
In 2016, soccer and swimming were the most popular sport activities among the seven to fifteen year olds in Denmark, with respectively 37 percent and 35 percent of the respondents preferring these sports. Furthermore, nearly one in four of the children in this age group preferred doing gymnastics. In comparison, some of the least popular sports during this period were hockey, golf and rowing at one percent each.
