Cinema attendance in Nicaragua 2015-2022
In 2022, cinema attendance in Nicaragua reached 800 thousand, up from 700 thousand a year earlier – a growth of over 14 percent. Despite the annual increase, the 2022 figure amounted to little more than 47 percent of the 1.7 million movie tickets sold in 2019, before the pandemic. Nicaragua had the lowest box office revenue in Central America in 2022.
