Cinema attendance in Ecuador 2015-2022
Throughout 2022, movie theaters across Ecuador sold around 10.6 million tickets, up from 7.9 million a year earlier – an increase of about 34 percent. Despite the annual growth, the 2021 figure amounted to 53 percent of the attendance of 20 million recorded in 2019, before the pandemic. Ecuador reported the seventh-highest cinema attendance in Latin America in 2022.
