In 2018, 29 percent of the women respondents who earned between 30 thousand and 50 thousand Indian rupees per month preferred taxis for their daily commute across India. Whereas only 16 percent of the women who earned less than 15 thousand rupees per month preferred to use taxis daily in the country.

Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhuvaneshwar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Mumbai, Kochi, Mysuru and New Delhi were the cities under consideration.
