Box office revenue in Panama 2015-2022
In 2022, the box office gross in Panama reached 21.7 million U.S. dollars, up from 14.8 million dollars a year earlier – an increase of about 50 percent. Despite the annual growth, the 2022 figure amounted to around 60 percent of the 36-million-dollar revenue seen in 2019, before the coronavirus outbreak. Also in 2022, Panama had the second-highest box office gross in Central America, only behind Costa Rica.
