Box office revenue in Ecuador 2015-2022
In 2022, Ecuador recorded a box office revenue of 51.5 million U.S. dollars, up from 38.2 million dollars a year earlier – a growth of over 34 percent. Despite the annual increase, the 2021 figure amounted to only 54 percent of the nearly 95-million-dollar revenue reported in 2019, before the pandemic. Also in 2022, Ecuador had the seventh-highest box office gross in Latin America.
