Albeit, 95 percent of the women responders in India stated that environmentally sustainable mode of transportation was important, 28 percent of the women preferred to commute by personal motor vehicles in 2018. Only 23 percent of the women responders in the country preferred to use public transportation and a mere four percent preferred to walk.
