In 2018, 28 Hong Kong-listed Chinese technology, media and telecommunication companies went public, whereas only two company IPOs appeared in 2009. With another 28 U.S.-listed companies, the total combined market capitalization of Chinese TMT companies amounted to 222 billion U.S. dollars as of June 2019.
