50 percent the women respondents who preferred public transportation in 2018 across the country earned more than 15 thousand Indian rupees per month. Only a mere two percent of the women with more than 0.1 million income per month preferred to use the public transportation. As suggested by the data, the income of the women respondents and their preference to use the public services was inversely proportional.

Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhuvaneshwar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Mumbai, Kochi, Mysuru and New Delhi were the cities under consideration.
