Knowledge of consumer rights and laws New Zealand 2018
In a survey conducted in late 2018 about the consumer regulatory system in New Zealand, 49 percent of respondents claimed they knew a little bit about consumer rights and laws in the country. In New Zealand, consumers are protected under the Consumer Guarantees Act, which allows them to seek repairs, replacements or refunds when products are faulty.
