By the end of 2022, there were 9,285 enterprises in Guangdong's Pearl River Delta focusing on the manufacture of communication equipment, computers and other electronic equipment. Adding Hong Kong and Macau, the Pearl River Delta is also called Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. This is one of the most economically active regions in China.
