As of the second quarter of 2018, there were 72 five star hotels with an average daily rate (ADR) of 1,004 yuan in Shanghai, which makes Shanghai the Chinese city with the most 5-star hotels and highest ADR. As a global business center, there is always a high demand of hotels in various levels in Shanghai.
