By 2022, it is expected that the commercial service robotics market will amount to some 53.8 billion U.S. dollars, with robotic systems themselves accounting for roughly 30 percent of revenue. Commercial service robotics is an industry that covers the manufacturing and maintenance of robots used to assist in retail, logistics, and other services outside of industrial engineering. One of the fastest growing segments of this industry will be the aftermarket for robotic hardware. The hardware aftermarket will allow current and future robotic systems to be repaired, upgraded, or extended.
