As of 2017, teachers in the Netherlands used a wide variety of ICT tools and activities in their classrooms. Beamers and digital study materials appeared to be used most frequently, with over 80 percent of survey respondents indicating that they used a beamer or digiboard during lessons, and a further 57 percent of teachers supporting their explanations with digital study materials. Teachers were less inclined to focus on social media and online safety in 2017, with less than ten percent of teachers indicating they touched on this in their lessons.
