Importance of religious education in the Netherlands 2019
Although the subject of a tough national debate at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, the Dutch do not put a lot of emphasis on religious education anymore. Just over ten percent of survey participants stated they consider religious education very important. Should the same survey have been taken around 1900, one can only imagine this figure to be much higher!
