In 2021, the North-Western had the highest mortality rate in Tunisia, corresponding to 9.6 deaths per 1,000 residents. The Center-West and South-West regions followed, each with a rate of 9.2 deaths per 1,000 inhabitants. The other regions in the country reported almost similar mortality rates with an average of 8.9 cases of death per 1,000 people.
