Benefits of biometrics use in confirming digital transactions in NA and EU 2019
The most commonly noted benefits of using biometric technology in confirming online payments were the fact that biometrics were both quicker and easier to use than traditional confirmation methods, with 44 percent of respondents noting each of these benefits. Rather than traditional methods such as passwords or email confirmations, biometrics makes use of a customer's physical features in order to confirm payments. Biometric confirmation methods such as fingerprint and facial scanners are becoming increasingly common features of newer generation smartphones.
