In a survey on skincare and beauty products conducted by Rakuten Insight, as of July 2021, 56 percent of female respondents in Malaysia said that they used Korean beauty and skincare products. Korean beauty products, also known as K-beauty, has gained in popularity and market share over the years, especially in Asia. K-beauty products were perceived by Asian customers to better meet their skincare needs.
