The results of a survey conducted in Italy in August 2019, revealed that most of the voters of Movimento 5 Stelle considered Giuseppe Conte as the most suitable premier candidate for their party in the next election, excluding Di Maio from the question. Di Battista followed, given that he was indicated as the preferred candidate by 20.9 percent of respondents. When all voters were considered, without any party distinction, Giuseppe Conte was still the most suitable candidate. However, among all voters he was way less popular than among M5S voters.
