Colombia: illegal coca cultivation in natural parks 2017
In 2017, Sierra de la Macarena, located in the Meta-Guaviare region of Colombia, was the natural park with the largest area used for the illicit cultivation of coca, with more than 2.8 thousand hectares of land used for this purpose. It was followed by Paramillo, in the Central region of the country, with nearly 1.6 thousand hectares.
