In a survey conducted in the year ended June 2018 about the age at which a child first ate soft, semi-solid or solid food in Australia, around 43.2 percent of respondents reported that their child was aged between four to five months when they first ate solid food. Only around two percent of respondents stated their child was 12 months or over when they first ate solid food.
