Chinese credit card market year end loan balance 2012-2018
The outstanding amount of credit card year-end loan balance in China amounted to 6.85 trillion yuan in 2018, showing a continued rise of over 20 percent annually. The surging digital payment services did not reduce the credit card usage in China. Since Chinese individuals had only half of a credit card on average in 2018, the credit card market was expected to grow in the future.
