Argentina's primary presidential election: votes by type August 2019

On August 11, 2019, over 24.7 million voters in Argentina cast a vote on the national primary elections, out of the total 32.6 million voters in the electoral register. This means that the participation rate reached 75.78 percent. Almost 24.4 million votes were considered valid, of which 3.1 percent were blank votes. Null votes amounted to a total of 300 thousand. The most voted presidential candidate was Alberto Fernández, having obtained around 11.6 million votes. Mauricio Macri, the Argentine president running for reelection, was the second most voted candidate with 7.8 million votes. General elections were held on October 27, 2019, when Alberto Fernández was elected president of Argentina.
