Demand for NMC 9.5.5 batteries was forecast to see the greatest growth in demand in the next ten years. By 2030, this type of lithium-ion battery is expected to account for 37 percent of total electric vehicle battery demand.
Due to a greater ratio of nickel than cobalt, this chemical compound would be much cheaper to produce, making it more attractive to manufacturers and consumers.
