The number of people living in moderate poverty in Mexico was estimated at more than 43 million in 2018, a decrease when compared with 2016, when over 44 million were considered to live in such condition. Except from 2018, moderate poverty has been increasing in the past few years, compared to the numbers registered in the previous decade.
